The Problematic
The student population in Guatemala is currently over 3 million. Students are distributed in 48, 909 public establishments, the conditions of which are precarious and of low academic level. This results in several external factors such as:
-
Low salaries

-
Discontent in teachers

-
Teachers with substandard academic preparation

-
Precarious infrastructure

-
Total lack of furniture and didactic material in most establishments

-
Deficient health conditions

“There are 1.6 million children in Guatemala with no educational coverage.”
- Ministry of Education of Guatemala

This project can provide thousands of children with an education neither they or their parents would have imagined.
It is known that higher-quality education is only possible in private schools at high costs, which are impossible for low-income families to cover.
The sustainability of the project relies on low installments according to the families’ economic availability, which will be determined through a socioeconomic study. The project will boost a scholarship or individual sponsorship program that will benefit from international donors (Sponsor a Child). Donations will come from the national industries, embassies, and international sponsors.
Our program will be audited annually by international experts, and the data will be published and available to all donors.
